Typedesigner Hannes von Döhren is a busy bee, he created a great variation of fonts.
We are fond of this one, Cowboyslang, a display typefamily with a Wild West flair.
It consists of three widths plus fitting ornaments.

I like the way the boy makes the girl go around and around... she only dances when he comes too close.

And I like the helicopters' propellor turning...only when the sun is shining

piperoid

Piperoid is produced in Japan.

A simple, yet great idea: you have to assemble paper pipes into a robot without glue...

birthday trip

Yesterday: three girls and three bicycles in a van up to Holland.

First we went to Combitex, then Amsterdam.

We had lunch here.

The notebook was a present. It's from Orla Kiely.

We visited lots of nice shops near central station as Pappa bubble (personalised candy), Restored (bought a beautiful brooche there), &klevering en Het grote avontuur (gifts).

Then we cycled to KNSM island for Pol's potten and Sissy Boy homeland.

In the evening, we took a free ferry to a restaurant called 'Hotel De Goudfazant' (btw, it's not a hotel).

munich

Went to Munich for the Tollwood festival,

but discovered the city as well. Found these in some nice shops as Sinneswahn (Hohenzollernstr.37 - no website).

The email pan is from riess, they made a vintage look new collection.

The box with plasters are for the- nurse -to- come -nearly -ten- years -old Whoopi.

Saw them also in latest 101 woonideeen.

time warp

When you visit Ostel Berlin, you feel like entering an authentic East-Berlin interior.
The building is as communist as it gets, it is situated nearby the longest stroke of Berlin Wall still standing and the rates are fair!
What more do you want?

visited a gigantic flea market in Broechem today....it really took us hours just to walk through :-)
found lots of funny things, including these 'alpenblumen' mini postcards and the alphabeticon below, yoohooo!

lazy weekend

Since we had no plans for the weekend, I booked a night at L'empreinte du temps, a small hotel in Torgny (one of the most beautiful villages in the south of Belgium).

It was good (and so was their restaurant), and yes, the village was beautiful.

Today we discovered a flea market in Muno, near France. That's where I saw this box of sewing stuff.

Paris Plage

Hélène Druvert is a busy bee, who lives in Bretagne and makes the best textile designs, surfboard illustrations and more...she made a paper 'etalage-design' paris plage pliage découpage for a shop called Trésor, in Paris.

kitchen tools

The green kitchen tools are hanging in my kitchen.

The white children's version comes from Les Filles.

It's a nice webshop with vintage and new stuff.
