we had a wonderful little holiday last week with friends who live in france near switserland.

they took us to bains des paquis in genève.

a beautiful place for swimming/sunning/eating with a view on genève.

animals get hit by vehicles, especially during the holiday/vacation season, when roads are crowded with cars.

‘At Rest’ is a stunning, and at the same time upsetting piece of work by photographer Emma Kisiel.

She surrounds the bodies of animals accidentally hit with living and fake flowers as well as stone markers. Kisiel never moves or alters her animal subjects.
‘They are happened upon, visited with, remembered, and left to return to nature.’
