Lena is a Swedish illustrator, who likes drawing dogs, although she is no dog owner, not even very fond of dogs...but she draws them very well! 'Langharig' is almost the same in swedish as in dutch, funny.

you need: an empty bottle of cleaning product, white paper to cover it (papier maché-like), fluo paint, cardboard for ears, buttons for eyes, iron whire with little stuff for horns et tadaa!

Now, it is a full time, full-fledged, insanely unstoppable, and occasionally award winning design mega-studio. They will break your heart and drink your blood.

These japanese books always make me very happy (and who doesn't like to see other people's interiors?)

even though you don't understand a word of it (all written in japanese), the photography of hisashi tokuyoshi gives a lot of inspiration.

Finally a magazine with highly recognazible (read:messy) interiors, living rooms, ateliers and more...from people all over the world : apartamento! Nice layout as well.

we went to reus (near barcelona) last weekend for the trapezi festival

it was great!

our dear friend monique went to New York with her teenagers.

they had a great time, nice weather and did a lot of shopping

seems like we are a bit jealous (well ok, we are)

and look, she even bought us a souvenir: jelly beans and a little kidrobot "lucky zipper pull"

the fun of these kidrobots is that you don' t know in advance which puppet you will find in the box.

we are so fond of the illustrations and fine art of Sebastiaan van Doninck...that an occasional drool could escape from our mouth whilst viewing....*sorry for that*

my daughter and me made muffins, decorated them with loads of sugar and then made this awful snapshot (they looked better in reality, for sure!)

nordic design

there's a new store in antwerp : espoo.
they claim to be the first interior/lifestyle shop in belgium, displaying and selling only scandinavian design.
their collections : Asplund, Normann Copenhagen, Ferm living, Design House Stockholm, Hay, Swedese, Hetta, Maze int, ...

not visited it so far, but will definitely go and take a peek pretty soon!

fiona hewitt

Fiona Hewitt is an amazing illustrator, with very rich, detailed, asian inspired drawings.
She also designs the incredibly popular miso pretty range.
