house of pane

In 2012, photographer Nick Olson and clothing designer Lilah Horwitz quit their day jobs and set off to build a unique woodland cabin so they could watch the sun set over the mountains of West Virginia.

Small but beautifully crafted, the home’s main feature is a wall full of glass, made entirely out of repurposed windows and salvaged materials they had collected from garage sales and antique dealers in the area.

“Each window has a bit of a story to it,” says Olson. “As an artist, I’ve learned over time that if you have an idea, you can find a way to make it.” The painstaking hands-on approach they apply to their artistry is the same technique they used to build their home.

The glass cabin, which they created for a total of about $500 on a property owned by Olson’s family, allows for plenty of natural light, reducing the need for artificial sources. Although it doesn’t have electricity or running water, it has everything the couple needs to watch the breathtaking West Virginia sunsets they so love.

Museum of selfies

This one makes us smile...Olivia Muus (Denmark) started this project with a friend when she visited the National Gallery of Denmark in Copenhagen. She took a picture for fun and liked the way the expression got a whole new meaning.
You can become part of the museum, just submit your own selfie at museumofselfies@gmail.com or instagram #museumofselfies

hell yeah

Last saturday, our friends said "yes" for real (as we already celebrated it last year in France).  Beside  of being a witness, we were in charge of the dessert buffet and its toppers (and a little bit of decoration too).

cardboard tower

Olivier Grossetête, a Marseille based artist makes buildings out of cardboard boxes and tape, with help of volunteers.
We saw this tower in Ghent at Miramiro (streettheatre festival) last weekend. Huge and impressive...until the rain came. Watch it going down here.

lampshade

Made my own ikea hack: a pimped lampshade
I used a light blue stabilo felt pen for drawing (not permanent, so probably it will get lighter after a while). It suits our hall.

little frame

I crocheted this frame using a bracelet as base and cotton thread for our info*matic (playing this weekend in Amiens, France!)
so easy peasy to do.
you don't need to put a picture in it, it's cute by itself.
