ROOM collection

When it comes to furniture, people are used to placing a object within a square space. 

Erik Olovsson and Kyuhyung Cho were interested in diversifying the relationship between object and space to create furniture as rooms for objects. The focus was to explore the mix-and-match quality of the ensemble in our spaces from a graphical approach.


ROOM collection is a furniture system with 25 stackable blocks. All blocks are made of fir and pine veneered plywood. Both designers completed their Master from the art academy Konstfack.

FOUNDation is about collecting waste materials and old furniture from the neighborhood, moving it  to a waste container, reusing it to turn into a café, to become a temporary meeting place for neighbours and passers-by

last tuesday, the girls invited me on a birthday-surprise-trip to Nijmegen.

we visited the city center and a shop called "Vivre". 

they sell great industrial furniture, lamps, sometimes in large quantities.

i bought a lamp for our home -smile-

I am collecting fake flowers (wow, color bomb), vases, paintings and little tables for the upcoming windows at Van Hassels. it looks nice all together.

A highly modular system based on interchangebility. Made by moupila (Belgium). 

Very inventive, with a lot of little cabinets inside.

girls day

it was already on our to do-list for a while, so today the girls went to Eindhoven to see the Piet Hein Eek factory.
(after a little pit-stop in Turnhout's thrift store)
first we visited the the shop . it's huge and filled with beautiful furniture, new and old stuff.
we had lunch in his restaurant and fell in love with the vintage group of lamps.

we also visited Eindhoven itself (read: shop, sit, drink) and had dinner in Usine

We adore this new catalogue of House doctor (Denmark) and are getting very greedy by just looking at the pictures.
