Marseille

The girls went to Marseille last weekend and had a great time

Our tips:

1. Notre-dame-de-la-garde  (take the little tourist train at Vieux Port) gives you a breathtaking view         over the city, do it by sunset!

2. Apéro at La Caravelle: great mojito's and a little balcony in the sun at Vieux Port.

3. Au Vieux Panier: a shop where they only sell typical french things (rue du Panier)

4. Mucem: we only visited the outside(it's for free), took the passerelles and had coffee on the terrace.

5. Les Calanques: visit its dazzling white limestone fjords by boat. (departure at Vieux Port)

6. Diner here

7. Café: here and here

8. Buy some famous Marseille's cookies called "Navettes" here. Best in town.

9. Lunch: Café de l'abbaye

10. Diner Chez Etienne (Rue de Lorette 43): pizza & more

flowers in and around the house, hand-picked grapes, nuts and tomatoes....so happy with my friends!

kruger

Sunday, it was Kruger-market at the Krugerplein, a local market with handmade goodies and food, at the most beautiful square in Borgerhout!
My dear friend Eva was there with knitted and embroided goods, pretty potholders, lovely skirts and more...even a few zeza&flor cotton sheets (ah, times past...)
 The next/fourth edition will be on Sunday, Oct 4, starting from 10am
The fifth edition will be an evening market, on Nov 1, 4pm
The sixth edition is a X-mas market extraordinaire, on Sunday 20 Dec

a visit to dear friends in the south of France....
so nice, always too short!

we visited friends in Courchevel, France and went skiing together....always fun!

 

Beaulieu sur mer

We went on a little trip to the South of France last week.
Visited good friends and enjoyed the sun (at the end of December!)

Julia even took a New Years Day Dip in the ocean, how brave :)
