Namaste. In stead of fighting soldiers, Dan Abrahamson sells plastic ones in yoga positions. Hilarious.

we make carpets

Bob, Marcia and Stijn (Amsterdam)  made their first carpet  in 2009 for the Dutch Design week. Not the one you can walk on, but with pine cones and needles. They didn't have a plan, it just happened and never stopped making new ones, always made out of everyday objects. Discover more here.

broelschool

We've visited the abandoned Broelschool in Kortrijk yesterday, for the Biënnale transformed into an exhibition, bistro, hotel, bycicle atelier,....
I loved the colours in the building, the tiles, the coloured glass in the doors, what a pity this is going to be demolished.

strange stripes

Last weekend we were in Hasselt for 'Theater op de markt'. On several houses and buildings, I noticed silver stripes and that made me curious. Someone told me to go the Radisson hotel's top level and there I saw the strange foiled stripes come together in 'trois ellipses ouverts en désordre'.
Realised by Felice Varini.

We saw this tower in Ghent at Miramiro (streettheatre festival) last weekend. Huge and impressive...until the rain came. Watch it going down here.
