Painted tiles

We love old tiles, although they are quite expensive. This could be something to try out... Barcelona based artist Javier De Riba spray paints abandoned buildings, mapping out bright geometric patterns, large and small. He did a similar project with wooden floors and varnish, check his site.

klaxon festival

a while ago, we visited klaxon festival at 't Werkhuys.
this stripfest, expo and preformance festival was curated by the talented and ever happy Dimitri 'JangoJim' Sakelaropolus and Bries. 

We saw a lot of great comics, books, cards, art and really enjoyed the exhibitions on the first floor, with works of Brecht Vandenbroucke, Marcel Ruijters, Lukas Verstraete, Pieter Fannes, Wobby collectief, Frank Wagemans, Samplerman, Wide Vercnocke and Olivier Schrauwen.
