wildflowers heaven

We've (I am sure I can speak for Katty as well in this case) always been fond of wildflowers. As a child, I came home with self-picked flowers whenever I could. When we rent a holiday house somewhere, the first thing I do is screening the neighbourhood for wildflowers. Unfortunately, since we live in the city, there's not much picking to do...

But today, I've discovered and tested the "bloemenplukweide", 10 minutes by car (without traffic jam) and 40 minutes by bycicle (from Antwerp) Just cut the flowers you want, make your own bill (the prices are marked) and leave the money in a letterbox. Open every day from sunrise till sunset. And if you are there, you can visit the bio shop as well. I've bought myself some pure happiness :-)

Blossom Type by Alice Mourou is a two-part creative project of still life and interactive video devised by Alice Mourou, Dmitriy Petrov, Olesya Korsak and Nikita Schukin.
The making of each carefully-crafted letter and number is documented on film by the team who will soon release a moving image integrated with user content in collaboration with Russia-based digital agency Zero.
