marcel kint

Last weekend, at interieur 2012  we visited M.Kint's bycicle factory
Marcel Kint, who won the world championship cycling in 1938, started his own bike factory after his career. Nowadays, the factory is runned by his grandchild Marniek and his wife Lien.
They started to produce authentic custom handmade bikes again.
The salon (where i took these pictures) is situated in the former living room of the world champion.

• The Salon

Lien Baguet welcomes you with great pleasure in The Salon in the authentic home of the former world champion. The Salon, thé shop where you can personalize your own Marcel Kint in a domestic atmosphere.

Blanky

This weekend we (8 friends) went to Blankenberge, a fine place at our Belgian coast.
Luckily in autumn not as crowded as during summertime...

We laughed a lot, drank  psychedelic cocktails, walked from Blankenberge to Zeebrugge, enjoyed fresh shrimp and a beer,  and invaded the vintage apartment of Karliens late auntee Yolandee.
Thanks, Karlien, what a great idea!

happy birthday Eva!

Friday we took Eva with us, on a mini-surprise-roadtrip to Tilburg!
We visited the Audax Textielmuseum and Textiel Lab (very nice, interesting workshops as well,
the Albert Heijn XL (!) and some thrift shops

We stayed at a friend's place, who happens to live in a beautifully renovated convent...imagine super-high ceilings, massive stained glass windows and an overall 'catholic' feel.
Magnificent!
