kruger

Sunday, it was Kruger-market at the Krugerplein, a local market with handmade goodies and food, at the most beautiful square in Borgerhout!
My dear friend Eva was there with knitted and embroided goods, pretty potholders, lovely skirts and more...even a few zeza&flor cotton sheets (ah, times past...)
The next/fourth edition will be on Sunday, Oct 4, starting from 10am
The fifth edition will be an evening market, on Nov 1, 4pm
The sixth edition is a X-mas market extraordinaire, on Sunday 20 Dec

Be there, on the square!

Christoph Niemann is an illustrator, artist and author. We like his 'Sunday sketches' but there's lot more to explore. Take a look at his portfolio, we also love 'Coffee', 'Biodiversity' and 'I lego NY'

klaxon festival

a while ago, we visited klaxon festival at 't Werkhuys.
this stripfest, expo and preformance festival was curated by the talented and ever happy Dimitri 'JangoJim' Sakelaropolus and Bries.

We saw a lot of great comics, books, cards, art and really enjoyed the exhibitions on the first floor, with works of Brecht Vandenbroucke, Marcel Ruijters, Lukas Verstraete, Pieter Fannes, Wobby collectief, Frank Wagemans, Samplerman, Wide Vercnocke and Olivier Schrauwen.

Her body of work is significant and spans a series of mediums - oil & resined paintings, illustrations, silkscreens, self-published zines, embroidery, glassware and videos.
