scratch map

Are you exotic, learned and Palin-esque or do you know someone who is?
Well, with this scratch map it's easy to make anyone who pops round feel jealous of exactly how-well travelled you are.
On first glance, it's a quite classy looking wall map, but if you carefully scratch off the places you've been on holiday, it reveals some lovely colourful and geographic detail. The only problem might be the excessive amounts of money you'll have to spend on trotting around the globe so you can finally reveal that missing patch of Belize or inner Mongolia that you desperatly want to see detail of.

ink calender

Cool invention, this ink calender designed by Oscar Diaz.

The ink is absorbed slowly, and the numbers in the calendar are “printed” daily. One a day, they are filled with ink until the end of the month. Each month has its own color, dark ones in winter, bright ones in spring.

We would love to have one, but it is not for sale yet...

we went to Le Channel (Calais, France) yesterday to see La machine's spider.

La machine is the company who made the giant, the elephant and the diver and now they are in Le Channel for three weeks with exhibitions, shows, funny instruments and ... this huge spider!

this flower potholder was on my to do list for a long time.

found some tutorials on google, but they were not just the way i wanted it to turn out...

so i took an old one and tried to copy it, this is the result and i am quite happy with it.

Yomar Augusto

Yesterday we went to see Andoverpis, the first solo exhibition of Yomar Augusto, at kades-Kaden. The show is a collection of calligraphy, typography and book art projects since 2009.

It will be there untill the 6th of May!
