girls day

it was already on our to do-list for a while, so today the girls went to Eindhoven to see the Piet Hein Eek factory.
(after a little pit-stop in Turnhout's thrift store)
first we visited the the shop . it's huge and filled with beautiful furniture, new and old stuff.
we had lunch in his restaurant and fell in love with the vintage group of lamps.

we also visited Eindhoven itself (read: shop, sit, drink) and had dinner in Usine

what a great public installation/guerrilla art project form Candy Chang!
with a lot of support and the approval of the owner, she turned this abandoned house into a giant chalkboard where people can write on the wall and remember what is important to them.
