first fig of the year

despite the lack of sun, here in antwerp....our fig tree managed to grow huge and produce lots of little figgies!

None of the plastic in any of these photographs was moved, placed, manipulated or altered in any way.
These images depict the untouched stomach contents of baby albatros birds in one of the world’s most remote marine sanctuaries.
The nesting babies are fed plastic by their parents, who collect what looks to them like food to bring back to their young.

beautiful roses and a silly thrifted gift (quitting at fourty didn't really succeed)

vintage tupperware (the only good and beautiful ones!)

and the best: a magnificent dahlia in a tiny vase, handpainted by this young artist!

Tom Carnase has created some of the most iconic logotypes for Brooks Brothers, Saks Fifth Avenue and Calvin Klein, just to name a few. He also worked along side Herb Lubalin and helped him create the popular Avant Garde typeface.
